Dr. Rachel Grimminck is the Clinical Medical Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services for Foothills Medical Center, Calgary’s largest teaching hospital, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary. In addition to specializing in emergency psychiatry, she works in inpatient psychiatry, group psychotherapy and electroconvulsive treatment. She is currently the President of the Foothills Medical Center Medical Staff Association. She is an award winning medical educator who is active at all levels of medical education with a particular focus on residency education including emergency psychiatry and simulation in psychiatry. Outside of work, she enjoys running, exploring the Rocky Mountains, traveling, supporting the arts and great food with her husband, friends and her dog, Eli.
