Mitali Patnaik, MD, FAPA

Friends Hospital
Dr. Patnaik is currently the medical director of the crisis response center (psychiatric emergency services) at Friends Hospital, Philadelphia. She graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India with her M.B.B.S. degree in 2010 and then completed her general adult psychiatry residency from Drexel University College in 2016, serving as the Friends Hospital chief resident for two years. She joined the Crisis Response Center (CRC) as staff psychiatrist after her residency. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and certified in Electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) by Emory University, Atlanta. Dr. Patnaik is part of the clinical faculty at Drexel as clinical assistant professor. She received the Friends Hospital staff of the year award by Drexel’s Department of Psychiatry in 2017. Dr. Patnaik serves as a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of the hospital as well. She has presented on multiple forums including the APA and at the AAEP NUBE conference last year.
