National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

Megan Stone, LPC is the Coordinator of Clinical Best Practices in the Standards, Trainings, and Practices department of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. She holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. Megan has worked in the mental health, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention field for over 12 years. She started as a crisis intervention clinician and mobile outreach team member at her local crisis center. She later pursued a Master’s in Health Administration and moved into outbound crisis services including teleED assessment and coordination of follow up care. One focus of Megan’s current work is on Care Transitions, where she works closely with crisis centers, professional organizations, mental health providers, and emergency service providers to support and advocate for follow-up and partnerships with crisis centers.
